“What do you want him for?” asked the one I thought was Jake.

“Eh, well, I have something important to tell him. It’s about--” I started slyly, “Well, I can’t tell you. I must tell Jacob and only Jacob. If he isn’t here or such, I suppose I can just… leave.” I could see his eyebrow rise. That was quite easy.

“No, wait, he’s here…” He said.

“Really, where?” I asked innocently. He rubbed the back of his head.

“Right in front of. Now what would you like to tell me?” He asked. I smiled.

“Well, you know, it would be nicer if I could come in. It’s slightly cold out here,” I stated.

“Right, right. C’mon in,” He mumbled as he opened the door wider. I smiled once more and walked in. He closed the door behind me and than led me into the kitchen area.

“Jake, who was at the door?” Asked a male voice from the other room. I assumed it was Billy.

“Eh, I really don’t know. She wants to tell me something though,” Jake called backed.I could hear wheels on the wooden floors. I turned to look at the opening of the room. Their stood, or sat really, Billy Black. He was in a wheelchair now. How sad. I thought to myself.

“’Ello there, you must be Billy,” I said. I could see him staring at me intensely. I could tell that he knew something about me, he was just trying to figure it out.

“Yeah, I’m Billy Black, you are?” He asked. I thought for a moment how to put it. I figured out and smirked.

“You know who I am. Both of you,” Jake and Billy looked at me strangely. “Aw, c’mon, are you going to make me pull down my hood?” I whined. Sighing, I pulled down the hood. It was in the same state it was earlier, but with a swift motion it changed to brown. I looked at them with my green eyes and with a smile.

Their eyes got so big, that I thought they would pop out of their heads.

“Alix? Alix Swan?” Billy asked. My smile widened.

“You know it!” I stated enthusiastically.

“Holy crap! You got so… big!” Jake stated.

“Yeah, well, your not so small yourself bud. God, how tall are you?” I asked looking up at him.

“Tall enough,” He stated. I laughed.

“So, what brings you here?” Billy asked as he moved toward her.

“Well, I moved in with Bella and Charlie,” I stated. Jake was about to ask why, I could tell. “Because my parents died last year.”

“Oh, I’m so sorry Alix,” Billy exclaimed. I laughed.

“Eh, s’not that bad,” I shrugged. “Anyway, I wanted to stop by and tell you I was here. I tried to get Bella to come down with me, but she wouldn’t.”

“Was she with her boyfriend?” Jacob asked sourly. I gave him a strange look.

“Yeah, she was. Why?” I asked.

“Never mind,” He mumbled. Just than my pants pocket starting ringing. It rang: Hold me like you held onto life. When all fears came alive and entombed me. Love me like you love the sun, Scorching the blood in my Vampire Heart.

“Ah, hang on,” I said as I pulled out my cell phone. It was Bella. I answered it.

“Hey Jell-Bell. What d’ya want?” I asked.

“Hey, Alix. How long are you going to be at the Blacks?” she asked.

“Eh, I don’t know why?”

“Oh, it’s nothing. Charlie was just worrying.” she stated.

“Oh, well, that I suppose I can come home now,” I said.

“Cool, see you soon,” she hung up. I turned to look at Billy and Jake.

“Well, I suppose I have to go. We should hang out sometime soon Jake. You, me, and Bella,” I said, “It could be like old times, Mr. Werewolf.” His eyes widened.

“How did you know?!” He asked frantically.

“What do you mean? We played mythical creatures when we were little. You were a werewolf. Bella was a witch. I was a vampire. Don’t you remember?” I asked.

“O-oh, right. That,” He stuttered. I looked at him suspiciously.

“Well, I’m going to go. I’ll call you sometime soon. Nice seeing you both,” I smiled.

“Same to you,” Billy replied. Jake just nodded his head. I turned and made my way to the door. I wondered why Jake was all frantic when I called him Mr. Werewolf. It was really strange. I opened the door and turned around to wave before leaving. The door shut as I exited. The cold air hit me and nearly knocked all of my breath out.

I hurried to my jeep and jumped in. I turned it on with a few tries. I sat there waiting for the heat to kick in. I sighed and could see my breath. Within a few minutes, as I waited, my phone rang again: Hold me like you held onto life. When all fears came alive and entombed me. “Yes, what do you want Jell-Bell?” I asked the moment I picked it up.

“Oh, nothing. I was just wondering if you left yet,” she asked. I raised an eyebrow.

“I’m in my car right now. Geez, Jell-Bell, is there something wrong?” I asked.

“No, why would you say that?” she asked me.

“Maybe it has to do with the fact, that you just called me,” I told her. I heard her laugh nervously.

“Heh heh, yeah well, Charlie is still worried,” she replied.

“Mmhm, if he’s so worried let me talk to him,” I told her coolly. I could tell she had been lying.

"Eh, well… he can’t come to the phone right now,” she told me. Her voice was dripping in nervousness.

“Mmhm, well, I’m on my way home right now. I’ll talk to you soon,” I told her before hanging up the phone. I put the car into motion and sped off toward the Swan residence… my new home.
